8 Best Cabins in the Upper Peninsula for an Airbnb Elopement

You might already know that the upper peninsula of Michigan is one of my absolute favorite places to visit, and to photograph couples at. The beauty of the forested land bordering the Great Lakes is truly unbeatable, which makes it an amazing option for couples looking for the perfect place to elope outdoors. And one unique way to take advantage of the UP’s beauty by exploring the stunning landscapes + also relaxing in a cozy cabin: have an Airbnb elopement in an Airbnb in the upper peninsula.

What is an Airbnb elopement?

Yup, you heard me right: an Airbnb elopement. Did you even know that was a thing?

You can pretty much take that to mean whatever you want it to – you can hold your entire elopement day at a beautiful Airbnb from the beginning of you getting ready to saying your vows all the way to celebrating with your loved ones at night. Or, you can simply find an Airbnb to book to stay at on the days surrounding your elopement, so that you have a great place to come back to at the end of a long day exploring. Sounds pretty great to me!

Now because there are so many great Airbnb’s out there on Michigan’s U.P., I’ve compiled 8 of the best cabins in the U.P. for your Airbnb elopement, whether you’re looking for a cabin with a large deck where you can say your vows or a cozy place for your head to hit the pillow at the end of the night. All of these cabins provide some amazing opportunities for the R&R you know you deserve (hello, outdoor wooden barrel sauna at Airbnb #7), as well as scenic views of the U.P., gorgeous interior decor, and space for you to celebrate.

For each of these lovely cabins I’ve included the basic info you need to know, logistics-wise: how many guests it sleeps, the number of bedrooms, beds, and baths, and most importantly, whether or not it’s pet-friendly. Because we all know that our four-legged BFF’s can’t be left out of one of the most important days of our lives, right?

Let’s get right into it!

With massive windows that provide plentiful natural light, super unique architecture, clean white walls, minimalistic decor, a wooden spiral staircase, and even a beautiful piano, this place will blow your mind!
