You guys. Engagement seasons AND wedding seasons are both in full swing. The wedding boom of 2021 is truly a thing and it is happening. Truly, I am really excited for this incredibly busy wedding + engagement season. After a tough year from COVID-19, it’s time to celebrate couples on their terms.
In honor of so many couples getting engaged, I decided to highlight one of my favorite weddings from 2020. Because everyone needs some fall wedding inspiration, right?
I had the honor of capturing Sarah + Neil’s wedding day at Rosewood Barn in Gleason, WI back in October 2020. Their wedding day felt like a fairytale + I’m so glad to dive in here.
From day one Sarah + Neil were so laidback and easy-going. We met up before their wedding and shared details over an old-fashioned (a Wisconsin favorite! If you know, you know). I was so thankful I got to meet them in person and see their relationship before their wedding day.
When I arrived at Rosewood Barn for their wedding day, I could instantly feel the excitement. Sarah was simply full of joy on her wedding day – only happy tears were shed. We did a first look with her and her bridesmaids and the girls were so precious! I got Sarah + her bridesmaids always giggling together and really just enjoying this fairytale day in Gleason, WI.
Neil was equally filled with excitement. Him and his groomsmen were having a party! They really enjoyed being together and celebrating such a big moment for Neil.
About an hour before the ceremony, the rain ended which left the most perfect diffused light for photos! When Sarah walked down the aisle, Neil was bursting with happiness. There was a point where I honestly thought he was going to run down the aisle as he simply couldn’t wait any longer to be married! Their ceremony was intimate, sweet, and authentically them.
After the ceremony, we took wedding party photos. As you will see, it was filled with laughs and big smiles (my fav). It was honestly so great to capture the support they had from their wedding party, and from their family.
Sarah + Neil added such a fun touch for their dinner with superhero-themed place cards. I loved how the couple sprinkled in shared passions they have! It was subtly inserted and made for giggles and smiles when guests arrived to their chairs.
The two of them had their dancing + reception outside under string bulb lights. It was so beautiful! I loved how it looked as the sun was setting, and then completely down. Their wedding day felt like a fairytale right here in Gleason, WI.
